Good value for money August 30, 2010 wiiBuddy Good product to buy to improve the picture quality over the AV cables. I noticed marked improvement in picture quality and sound. It is still 480p picture since Wii does not come with 1080p resolution so do not expect significant change. Overall a good value for money and it gives you the ability to get the best resolution possible, from Wii.
Work's great! August 22, 2010 steinwayb I just bought a 46" Samgung LCD TV and my wife wanted me to hang it on the wall and hide all the wires. I decided to run this wire behind the wall and leave the original, non-component wire for when I bring the Wii with me on vacation, etc. This wire is a bit shorter than the original, non-component one supplied by Nintendo, but it was long enough for me to run behind the wall. Not sure why they put that big plastic thing at the point where the wires become separate near the end as it is a bit clunky looking, but it is behind the TV so you don't see it once hooked up. Others have noted that this could present problems if you wanted to hook up the 2 audio plugs (red and white ones) to a separate audio system. I am just using the audio from the TV at this point so that is not a problem. If you wanted to plug this into a separate audio system, you would need to buy additional audio cables along with an RCA connector (you can get from Radio Shack) to connect another set of audio cables to the audio cables from this set of wires to increase their effective length. As far as how the Wii looks, it looks a little more crips than when I was using the non-component cables, but it really isn't all that much different.
Good value August 22, 2010 Bernard R. Kingsley (USA) The cables had excellent build quility. I hooked them up to my Wii and Plasma TV. Don't forget to set the Wii preferences to 480 progressive. The picture is indeed better. Very good price on a quality product.
Great product at a great price. August 20, 2010 J. Sheeder (San Diego, CA) I don't usually try off-brand cables for video game systems, but I'm glad I tried this one. The cord is around 5'-6' and the component plugs went easily into my television. The product does everything I imagine the $30 cord would do, but for less money.
The cable is better than expectd August 19, 2010 A. Lemke 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Something not mentioned in the reviews was that when viewing Netflix through the Wii, the movie is brighter than with the old cable. Previously, some movies were so dark you couldn't see them.
